INNOVATION FIELD «DIGITAL PRINTING TO COMPLEX SHAPES»:
High-quality decorative or functional surfaces are important quality features of products. Digital inkjet printing as a contactless, flexible & resource-saving printing process opens up enormous innovation potential. However, printing on free forms of three dimensional objects brings weighty mechanical-physical and fluid-dynamic challenges.
After the state of the art and the individual application complexity have been reviewed in 2016, the current workshop series will sound out the limits of what is possible today with the help of a topology pilot and provide the participants with the basic knowledge to adequately specify the printing systems they want to use.
